Our track days at Snetterton on the 26th of February and the 7th of March were excellent- cold, but the track remained open and everyone had a lot of track time. James Sumner had a day’s tuition from our resident instructor, Mark Hales, and benefitted enormously from Mark’s comments and tuition. In addition, Barry Sumner used Mark’s knowledge to improve the set-up of the yellow Morgan 4/4 he shares with son James.
Meanwhile Kath Sherry had brought along her FIA MGB for a shakedown, and husband Simon had brought his Plus 8 to join her on the 200 circuit.
On our second outing Mark split his time between Abi Whitt, our new member of staff, who will be helping out at all of our events, and Mikey Higgs, who had hired the Morgan 4/4 Sport Competition for the day. Abi was driving the MG Midget she shares with her Dad, and got quicker throughout the day with Mark’s help. Mikey is another young driver who started racing in karts, and soon had the 4/4 Sport mastered, ready for his Morgan race debut at Snetterton in April when he will be driving his father’s Plus 8 in the Morgan challenge. Mikey and Abi both had a brilliant day of tuition and track time- if you want to improve your track skills then book now for Castle Combe on the 1st May, Cadwell Park on the 31st May or Goodwood on the 3rd of July.
